The Boulder Valley School District is responsible for public education in the cities of Boulder, Lafayette, and Louisville, as well as a number of other communities. Find info about the schools for each area here.

The St Vrain Valley School District serves eastern Boulder, Broomfield, Dacono, Erie, Firestone, Frederick, Hygiene, Longmont, Lyons, Mead, Niwot, Peaceful Valley, and Raymond, as well as parts of Broomfield, Larimer, and Weld Counties. The district sets a standard for schools nationwide; this is from their website:

Overall CSAP scores have increased on 89% of tests given over the last four years, 96% of District targets have been met in student achievement, the gradiation rate for high school students is 86.6%, and 28% of all juniors and seniors took at least one advanced placement (AP) course.

Higher Education

The University of Colorado at Boulder is an accredited university offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in more than 150 fields. The Colorado Academy of Art offers classes and workshops in classical fine art, sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography. Front Range Community College offers AA degrees through distance learning and continuing education programs.
